For example, when I started my private business as a dietitian, for a while I worked out of my bedroom! I set up a little corner with a desk and chairs and books but still, it was a bedroom. I am still not sure if this was a bad mistake. In that type of situation, if really no other room can work (I couldn't use the living or dining rooms because other people were always around), I think it's very important to consider renting space. On the other hand, at that point in time, I could never have afforded paying for office space, so it's a very tough call. It is important to mention that for some businesses, depending on your home, you might need to seriously consider renting office space.
