Hi Yang-May - thanks for stopping by! I'm a big believer in diversity in all things, and that's why I think it's worth being active in many places online, since you can get small results from each place, but altogether it can be significant.

But twitter is still a mystery to me. For example, how did you find my twitter feed, and follow it here? Suddenly I got a whole bunch of new twitter followers, and I have no idea how.

Hi Miriam - I came to this post via your Twitter feed so I agree that it's worth having both a blog and Twitter - the former allows you to explore a topic at length whereas Twitter is more like a telegram (am I showing my age?)

israluv - I know, this comic is great. You should see the other ones this guys has made. Do a search for him: geek and poke.

Naomi - it's so nice that you dropped by. I love love love your blog. Despite the fact that I've managed to get going on what i described above, I'm nowhere near what some of these social media addicts are like. Anyways, I think that the excitement over all these communities will have to die down soon, and everything will become more unified, since it's ridiculous to manage profiles in so many places!

Yes. Yes to all of it. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. If I could get off my butt and organize it, I could get involved on these social media sites and make much more of an impact. Instead, I read round-up posts of every social networking site in the universe and mourn the lack of time.
